How to Download and Install Java JDK on Windows

Hi everyone,

GET DIFFICULT TO INSTALL JAVA JDK IN YOUR WINDOWS DEVICE.
In this blog, we are going to download some software which we are going to need to develop an android application. The first phase of software that we need is JAVA JDK. JDK stands for Java Development Kit. It is a tool required to compile, document, and package Java programs. JDK contains JRE + development tools.

DOWNLOAD JAVA JDK 8

To download Java JDK we go to Google and type download Java JDK (Fig 1).

Click JDK download and it will bring us to another page where it will include different options depending on different platforms to download JDK. As we are using Windows so we click on Windows x64 installer (Fig 3). It will take several minutes to download the executable file according to internet speed.

After that, we need the set the path of the Java JDK and JRE into the system environment. Search for the system in the start search bar it will display a screen where we need to select the Advanced System Settings(Fig 4).

Fig 4

Then a pop-up screen will appear with different tabs, but we need to select the Advanced tab, where we found one button named Environment Variables (Fig 5). Click it.

Fig 5

Then it will redirect us to a screen of two blocks namely, Users Variables for Administrator and System Variables. If you are using it first then you will not see the JAVA_PATH variable in the Administrator block. To add the JAVA_PATH in that block we need to create a new Variable clicking New button bellow it. Where in the Variable box write JAVA_PATH and in value box copy and paste the Java JDK bin folder path (Fig 6).

Fig 6

And in System Variables block we see a variable named Path. Where we need to copy and paste the java JDK and JRE bin folder path (Fig 7).

Now we are all set for download and install the android studio to run our first android program.
